I fell in love with the area and the canny people of Sunderland. I very quickly felt at home and so never left! In 2012 I decided to open my own practice in order to provide my patients with the best possible care without any constraints from higher powers. I have been really fortunate that the practice has grown exponentially since then and I have found staff that share the same ethics as me and who are every bit as animal mad. Life away from the practice is pretty hectic, with 3 children and 13 pets at home. Life is certainly never dull but I love what I do and wouldn’t have it any other way.

I have worked in a few practices in the region some as far south as Darlington and some more close to home. I became part of the King’s Road team in 2014, my main area of interest is medicine but I also enjoy surgery too. When I'm not catching up with friends, I can be found tackling the various fells and beaches the UK has to offer, usually involving regular adventures in the Lakes!

I moved to the UK immediately after graduating in Dec 2000 and spent 6 months in a practice in Leeds before moving to a practice in Sunderland where I met Wendy. For health reasons, I took a career break and worked as a pharmacist in Fulwell for 13 years. I returned to my veterinary career in January 2018 at King's Road Veterinary Practice where I was reunited with many of the staff that I had previously worked with many years before. At home, I have two lovely daughters. My current animal family consists of 2 dogs and 6 cats. In my spare time (if I ever get any!) I love to relax.
